My dear, awesome students,
It is now September 5 and the new school year has begun. You are (hopefully) in college now, and I am at an arts school in Orange County. I'm not gonna lie - this is the most amazing school I have ever seen. But at the same time, I miss all of you and really, really hope that in your most boring moments, you click on our blog to see what's new, and find yourself updating us on your life. That is why this is still up and that is why I still check it.
So, if you're reading this and have a minute, please tell us how you are, what you are thinking, and of course, any "secret" you would like to get off your chest. I know you have one or two, and if you've never tried it, confession anonymously is a wonderful thing!

Well I was supposed to Start RCC, but since I am not a resident of the United states, They wanted to charge me $197 per unit, so if i was to take ONE english class I would be looking at $788 for that class, plus 3 books.
and since I can't get financial Aid, because of the same reason, I am stuck at my same dead end job working 10-12 hours ever 2 weeks, until spring.
other than that, life is amazing.
hahaha
Hi Ms. Velin. I'm glad to see that you are happy at your new job. I really am. =D I am currently attending Valley and in the process of becoming someone in this world. Honestly Ms. Velin, (and I'm not just saying this) everything that happened in your class room last year, from reading books for the first ten minutes, to Carpe Diem, to even the christmas gift your gave all of us, you have really inspired me. I live everyday by the quote you picked for me. "It is our choices, that show who we are, far more than our abilities". I have become a better person. And I'll be checking this blog more often.
Always,

An update! Huzzah! Lol nothing much new, except school started too early. August 11. Bleh. Senior year is ok, and I've got some good teachers. And so far I'm avoiding senioritis. Which is a very, very good thing.
hey ms. velin thats so awesome to hear im so glad things are going well for you. i started school at valley about five weeks ago and i love it. im even taking c.s.i. classes right now. oh and next semester i get to take c.s.i. photography lol i cant wait. so yea everythings goin good so far and im just havin fun lol
Hi ms velin, doesnt seem likes there is much activity going on here but yeah, update...this is David btw, from 3rd period, the breakdancer. lol.
Umm, at RCC, doing great, technically I'll be a sophomore there in less than 2 months. I decided keep the carpe diem attitude and started my own dance club there, emphasis is on multiculturism, fighting cancer, and arts in education. about 20-25 memebers so its going pretty good right now. Again, I decided to seize the day and go with what I wanted to do and I'm taking ballet here, its hard work but I love it. Maybe one day I'll be a big shot dancer. But I'm still focused on my academics so its all good. Oh and right now I'm actually procrastinating, I'm giving a speech for speech class on forgotten activist, freedom fighters, ect, and I'm yet to complete my research so Ima get back to that!
hey ms velin...
this is edwin
from 3rd period.
haha in my last comments i had posted i was all lost
not knowing what to do next in life after high school.
but now i have pretty much got settled. i am currently attending chaffey college. i registered late though so i only have one class lol. and i found a job!!!(well not really found the job...my exboyfriend recommended me to the lady that cuts his hair...which is now my manager) i work at supercuts as a receptionist. its a pretty cool job. and i get along really well with my manager and all my co-workers. i even go party with them sometimes honestly!! and now im thinking of going to beauty school cus the stylist make good tips. but im still going to go to chaffey to pursue my lifelong dream of filmmaking.
hope all is well with you.
